Prophylaxis is a traditional part of medicine in Russia. One of the important goals of healthcare in Russia is to control
the pediatric disability. Pediatricians in Saint-Petersburg have a long-term experience in this field. In our city we have Medical
Associations of different profiles. Our doctors took part in scientific congresses in Europe, North and South America, Asia, Australia.
But up to this time we did not have a complete program of neonatal disability prevention in pediatric orthopedics.
That's the reason to start this program in Saint-Petersburg in 2003. This program is orthopedists' gift to the 300-th anniversary
of the city.
